49) New discussion one week later

The mail is slow and takes time. The Internet publishes righ away and people can read all at the same time.... Do you spend to much time online and therefore don't send out as much as you would like to?

Funny! Right before I saw this question I thought: Wilma is waiting for a snail mail answer.

Yes, snail mail is slow. Yes, I hang around in the internet, often too long. But I like the slow snails, because they give me a different feeling for time. Mail art on the snail trail is allowed to take a while, even in the production process. For me, it's fine, if I get (and give the receivers) the feeling, that there is time included in the mail art cards. For me, it's not a chatty "hurry hurry" production in a "hurry hurry" world.

The Slow mail makes it better. I enjoy to see an envelope more than just seeing an image.

I know it's cheating a bit but i like the best of both worlds- that's why I have started a new project which suits me fine.

I have the thrill of getting lots of mail and all I have to do is document it online. Does this seem fair to you?
