117) Does this blog bring a discussion?
Seems the times of BLOGS is over and everybody is on social media and websites. Do people still post comments on a blog and discuss what they see?

seems the answer is NO.
It depends on what you wish to accomplish. Blog- Long-haul, slow build for following but great for insight on the creative process, step-by-step article-writing, can be more specific. Social media - Instant gratification but less depth and built for consumption so there is less loyalty. Overall, I prefer to blog specifics of projects or thoughtful long-term insights like an online journal of discovery. Social media is fun for collaborations and interactions but lacks substance and can be inadvertently competitive/homogeneous/Pin-teresting
It be great if a mail art community on Reddit took off. That is a great platform for online discussion.
So why not create one yourself, @David DiGiovanni. Unfamilar as I am about Reddit, I would hate to miss a new opportunity to engage with an audience that so desperately need to express themselves in creative ways. I still find myself challenged but emboldened by fresh observations from other creators. Let's see it!
Reading a blog involves actively going to a place -- seeking out a particular website. Only the very committed would do that on a regular basis.
I much preferred the list-serv format -- where each message was emailed automatically to each participant. That way you get surprises in you inbox and can easily jump into the discussion if something of interest appears.
I think some Facebook groups are like that.
Not that many use Reddit
