17) Is Mail-Art guilt-free?

With the term "guilt-free" I mean: Is the receiver of a mail-art piece free to do what he wants? (Answer the piece, just absorb it, ignore it, etc....) Or is he/she supposed to answer the mail-art piece?

If it's actually a mail art-piece, every serious mailartist should send at least a little something in return !

Agree with Fraenz although I've been naughty lately and have to catch up on my returns...I always like to reciprocate when someone takes the time to mail me a piece. But, it should stay guilt free at best and low guilt/stress at worse because It's ONLY mail! And I think part of the charm of MA is the ephemeral quality of most mail art, it is not precious like an oil painting and that is the unique and awesome part of the mail art network...
